Trivia!

Originally I was arguing over whether Alis would live or not, but as Alis became annoying about it, it became clear I couldn't let her get her way.

Ah, did Alis begin writing her own dialogue ?

The best characters tend to become unto their own and defy the writers expectations.

Haha love that :D

I get the sentiment. I was sooo annoyed by her fatality/certainty of death -.-'

That said, I totally understood (on some level anyway) where it was coming from.

If you were annoyed, imagine how her mom and lover felt.

Every character, who is written more with the blood from its author than with ink, starts to live at some ponit, makes its own decisions and tends to disagree with the author.
And view: There are some many characters, even minor ones, in this comic that live their own live that SD felt more real than plotted sometimes.
Thank you so much, you doodling Hot Dog!

I'm so glad I found this comic. I read it all at once without sleeping much. Then I went back and re-read it now, the following day.
I love the colors and lack thereof in the different panels. At first, I thought it was only water that was alive and thus the characters were colored in when immersed in a body of water. Then I noticed it happening when Alis and Sean got intimate and now at the end, the entire world is alive with color because Alis chose to live.
Fantastic ending. I wish I could keep reading about their lives together, but every story needs to end or it inevitably loses some of its impact if it becomes one of those eternally ongoing web comics out there.
