Those are eyes...that have seen things they shouldn't have had to.

I think Mary described the horrors of it pretty accurately.

I love the little glimpses you provide of your universe View.

A wild plot appears. :)

The 'killer particles' would eventually melt the carbon in the cotton towel fabric, so I guess wetting the fabric increases the gaps in the threads and provides more protection. Given what we've seen of xvt in nmtg though, it'd be very temporary protection. Almost momentary. That stuff works insanely fast.

This is an early version, it's not quite that bad yet.

That bit of trivia is absolutely fascinating to me. It brings to mind the idea that a sort of chemical / biological arms race happened, that created things like xvt, 'the eater', and spider chickens.

This comment actually reminded me
View, your translation in NMTG was wrong ,"想吃" when translated (not google translated ofc) is "want to eat" and not "the eater"
Get someone fluent in Chinese next time view.....

Hey, this reminds me: you're really bad at leaving comments. I won't tell you how to leave comments correctly, you should ask someone fluent in comments.

Sorry, but how many more times will you leave this comment, on how many more completely unrelated pages?

Oh ya,this was linked to NMG
So was Jim the cause of the mc's condition?
Greeb edit delete reply
Greeb
I don't think Jim's even been born, yet. This takes place before NMTG.

So I had to re-read it a few times to get the gist of it, but from what I can gather, Alis' dad threw water over her and carried her to the shower. Alis was scared this was because she was gay, but he was trying to protect her from the melt. Then they drove away (The not on roads comment kinda confuses me. Hills?)

Either way, love this comic, please don't stop.

I assume her father thought they had a better chance offroading. Maybe, to get away from traffic or because the roads didn't lead directly away from ground zero.

Not just gay, but also a pretty high intensity switch for D/s.
Sheela edit delete reply
Sheela
Another reason to get away from the roads, is to get away from other humans, who may carry the virus.

More specifically, panicky bad drivers will block just about every road within seconds, especially if they are dying at the wheel.
Sheela edit delete reply
Sheela
Oh yeah, hadn't thought of that.
But then. some bad drivers already drive like they are dead behind the wheel! :D

Cuddles and bad memories are a secret pleasure of mine.

Sheela
I prefer the cuddles.
The bad memories can stay away.

How long did this war go on? Between this and NMTG, are we seeing multiple wars? If the lack of androids imply they aren't contemporary to this period (i.e. the iV crew aren't around yet), it's at least 10 years until California, Texas, and Metropolis. That's a damn long time to be throwing around bioweapons and other MWDs willy-nilly.
view edit delete reply
view
This wasn't part of a war.
GGGuest (Guest) edit delete reply
Does that also imply biobreaks aren't due to state actors? Are they even all malicious? Unintentional?

Hedging that you may not answer the above, was Denver even a response to a bioweapon?
view edit delete reply
view
Well, there's a lot of mud and smoke. It's hard to tell what was malicious, what was an accident, what was an "accident", etc.

Throw in some terrorism, and the chaos is complete.

I don't get why people aren't taking the hints. It's not start at Gap and move backwards, its start at Mt st. Helens and move forwards. Or I'm wrong. Love your work, sad I'm caught up, enriched by having done so.

That first panel... Is there perhaps a swallowed "you" in there, under the ellipsis?
