I imagine they'd survive drowning with those patches but it would burn and sting like mother. Also, it would probably make it really hard to swim back up since your chest would then be very heavy.

Wonder if you could 'exhale' the water, just collapse your lungs as much as possible to lessen the problem?

I vaguely remember reading a Boys' Brigade thing that said the problem with wet drowning in fresh water was bursting blood cells, and messing up the chemistry of people's hearts. If the patches can work around that, then they're definitely science-fiction.

Suburbibay must be remarkably clean.

So are they in virtual something or some kind of simulator?

Hmmm.

Interesting thought.
Like Second Life in the future ?

How would you prove your primary existence?

Jst56strong
well in one reality I'm a 6' muscly soldier with a high and tight haircut and in the other reality I'm the same thing but with fur......so yeah, my guess is going to be the reality where I have a tail is probably the fake one.

Add to that, if it is anything like second life, the giant flying penises will probably give it away.

Hrm .. we haven't seen any giant penises just yet.

Better not give View any good ideas here.
Though I wonder how he would fit one in.

Erhh .. how he would fit one in the story I mean. :D

Perhaps they are aquatic?

I'm loving Scrub Diving.

I followed Space Pulp since the first comic as well - I've been thinking; you may want to add a big link and clickable image pointing to Scrub Diving on a few key Space Pulp pages so that people reading one hop into the other when they're done.

Good on Fusion for double-checking that the patches are the right kind!
