It's a quiet page.

No arm pumping to get it down, can't be bad!

Sean is probably not very used to alcohol.
Dunno if Alis is, though that could also be a sideeffect of a damaged throat from the Denver Melt.

Still, Sean's faces are funny. :)

Thanks for explaining this one. Didn't get it at first.

On every single page Alis' expressions make me smile. They are more subtle on this page, but I love them nonetheless.

The tears at the eye corners when you get that first big "whoooooooo" reaction to strong alcohol, excellent! Really enjoy this sequence. :D

Thanks, it's pretty slow and mild, so it's good to know I'm not losing my whole audience.

View... you need to accept the fact that no matter what you do, no matter how long you take, no matter what pacing you decide on your comics, you will have an audience. You've proved your storytelling skills time and time again... we have faith in you.
You deserve to have some faith in yourself. Not every page needs to be fast-pace-high-energy. Not every page needs words. You're telling your story, and doing an excellent job of it, so just keep up the great work.
The only way you'll let your myriad multitude of fans down is by not doing what you've been doing, and that is consistently giving the best you can give (I know there have been times where you felt it was sub-par due to time, or illness and whatnot, but seriously). My old dad always says, "When you try your best, not even angels can do more."
I think your various works are proof of that. You ain't losing anybody!!

Pretty much the only way you could upset me, as a fan, is if you just abandoned this entirely. I intend to re-read this entire comic a couple times when you finish it, so just worry about the pacing of the comic when read as a whole, and don't sweat the update schedule. Keep up the awesome!

The issue is balancing the binge reading pace with the page-by-page pace.

Maybe I'll invent a "page-by-page pace enhancer" for my next comic.

Any ideas what that might involve? As someone checks back about once or twice a month, I'm probably inbetween those two categories.

I have nooooo idea.

As a scotch whiskey drinker, I second that.

If you wanna relive the "my throat is burning" days, try some cask strength Laphroaig. Its the only scotch I ever felt the need to put a drop of water in when I drank it...but I was rather fond of the burning.
eire1274 edit delete reply
Been there, done that. Drop of water, nothing. If you like an ice cube (e.g. ONE) in your scotch, there's nothing wrong with it. However, it is absolutely WRONG to pour it over an ice-loaded glass, or to mix it with other ingredients! LOL!

I find this page pretty interesting. For once, it's very easy to tell that Sean's the younger one.

Alis has initiated plan "Drink Her Under the Table."

Let's see what her follow up move will be since she seems to lean more towards "pushing her luck" rather than "cleverly advantageous."
mal3 edit delete reply
Nah. I reckon Alis is more subtle than that.

She's not gonna drink her under the table, but rather show Sean that the "teacher" can learn a few things from the student.
Bellar edit delete reply
I'd say Alis would like to teach her teacher some of her tricks.
